Colin Cowherd Names The ‘Bright Spot’ Of Bears’ Season

The Chicago Bears had a lot of energy and excitement coming into the 2024 season.

Armed with a new quarterback and several new players on the roster, many expected the Bears to have a bounce-back season.

Things were looking up for this team through six weeks, winning four of their first six games.

However, they have not won a game since their hot start, and are effectively out of the playoff hunt as a result.

What was supposed to be a positive season has quickly gone south, leaving fans disappointed and frustrated with the results.

It hasn’t all been bad, at least, according to Collin Cowherd.

In a recent edition of “The Herd,” Cowherd mentioned that Caleb Williams has been who people thought he could be, giving a glimmer of hope for the organization’s future.

“They have been a hazmat spill of an organization… And he’s been the bright spot,” Cowherd said.

Cowherd likes what he’s seen from Williams this season.

Yes, he is a rookie who still makes mistakes and has plenty to learn, but in Cowherd’s eyes, he’s taking the right steps to become a solid NFL quarterback.

This position has plagued the Bears for many years, as they still have yet to have a 4,000-yard passer in a single season.

Whether Williams pans out remains to be seen, but early signs indicate that the Bears might have a future star on their hands.

The only question is if the team can build the right team around him and equip Williams with what he needs to maximize success.
