Heading into Week 10’s divisional matchup with the Denver Broncos at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs had a chance to remain perfect on the season and record their ninth win of the 2024 campaign.
Even though the Chiefs seemed like the superior team coming into this matchup with the Broncos, Denver came to play on Sunday, with their stout defense giving superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes trouble all day.
Ultimately, the Chiefs had a two-point lead late in the fourth quarter, with the Broncos poised to set up a game-winning field goal with time expiring, which is what Bo Nix and company were able to do, giving kicker Wil Lutz a chance to win the game.
Although it seemed inevitable that the Broncos would come out on top with a chip shot of a field-goal attempt to end the game, the Chiefs’ defense stepped up, blocking Lutz’s kick to seal the deal for Kansas City.
With the Chiefs proving they are as resilient as any team in the league once again, Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports feels the Chiefs have an air of inevitability via The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

The Chiefs are now sporting a record of 9-0 and remain the only undefeated team in the league as they try to continue their flawless season and inch closer to becoming the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowl titles.
In Week 11, the Chiefs will face Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills on the road in what could be the most challenging game of the season for the defending champions.
