The Muskingum softball team split a home doubleheader against 22nd-ranked Mount Union on Friday afternoon. The Muskies slipped 8-4 in the opener and responded with a dominating 5-0 win in game two.
- Muskingum finished the OAC regular season in second place in the league.
- Muskingum will be the two-seed in the upcoming OAC Tournament scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 9. The Muskies will face three-seed Baldwin Wallace. The tournament will be held at top-seed Mount Union who will play four-seed Ohio Northern. The winner of the double elimination tournament will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

Game Two
- The Muskies finished with five runs, eight hits, four RBIs, and were walked three times.
- The Muskies scored one run in the first, three in the fourth, and added a run in the sixth.
- Senior Kalie Eshelman led the Muskies as she posted a home run, two runs, and an RBI.
- Senior Madelyn Thomas was sensational as she pitched all seven innings, throwing 81 pitches with 55 being strikes. Thomas held Mount Union to three hits and recorded four strikeouts.
- Freshman Bethany Rodman helped fuel the Muskies as she went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
- Sophomore Sadie Smith finished with a double and a run. Smith also walked twice.
- Freshman Kenzie Standerfer energized the Muskies as she went 2-for-3.
- Both freshman Morgan Layne and freshman Taryn Mickley each went 1-for-2 with a run. Layne added a Sac bunt.
