The New York Yankees are still dealing with the disappointment of not bringing their superstar outfielder Juan Soto back for the 2025 season.
Soto ended up signing a deal with the New York Mets worth $765 million over 15 years, while the Yankees are left with holes to fill in their lineup.
Even though the Yankees lost out on Soto, it didn’t take them long to get back into the game and add some key players this offseason.
The Yankees signed one of the best starting pitcher free agents in Max Fried from the Atlanta Braves while also trading for relief pitcher Devin Williams from the Milwaukee Brewers and outfielder Cody Bellinger from the Chicago Cubs.
MLB Analyst Dan Plesac named the Yankees as having the best starting pitching in the American League.
“On paper, I’m going to say right now yes, they probably have the best starting pitching in the AL,” Plesac said via MLB Network on ‘X.’

Fried joins a Yankees rotation that already includes Gerrit Cole, which could be why Plesac names them as the best rotation in the league.
While it is one thing to have the best starting pitching on paper and another to perform and stay healthy during the season, the Yankees seem to be setting themselves up for success in 2025.
The Yankees have won the American League East two out of the last three years, and they will try to win back-to-back titles for the first time since 2011 and 2012.
Fried should be another arm to lean on for the Yankees in their pursuit of back-to-back World Series appearances.
