The Muskingum baseball team fell late in a hard fought battle with fourth-ranked Denison. The Muskies would take Denison into the bottom of the sixth inning with the score being 2-2, before the highly ranked Big Red would pull away and finish with a score of 12-2.

Inside the Numbers
- Muskingum scored two runs on eight hits and had zero errors.
- Through the top of the sixth inning, the Muskies were tied at 2-2 with Denison in a highly competitive performance on both sides of the game.
- In the fifth inning, junior Tobie Teke scored on an RBI single from freshman Grant Mellerson.
- The Muskies capitalized in the sixth inning on a wild pitch that brought freshman Conner Thamann home from third base. This was the result after Muskingum had put together a rally with two hits and a few well positioned ground balls in the infield to advance runners into scoring position.
- The Muskies were led by Mellerson, who tallied two hits and an RBI in the contest.
- Teke and Thamann added in a hit and a scored run.
- Sophomore Sam Palmieri, sophomore Mike Davis, freshman Joseph Shiffler, and senior Wyatt Reeder each contributed a hit.
- Teke and Mellerson each had a stolen base.
- Sophomore Max Vosters pitched four innings for the Muskies while only giving up two runs.
- Denison was led by Eric Colaco with three hits and four RBI’s.
- Jack Rollo earned the win on the mound for Denison.
