The “Thursday Night Football” game between the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals was one of the best and most entertaining games of this NFL season, and it came right down to the wire.
The Ravens managed to survive with a 35-34 victory, and both starting quarterbacks — Lamar Jackson of Baltimore and Joe Burrow of Cincinnati — threw four touchdown passes with no interceptions.
It was something of a statement win for the Ravens over a division rival that came in having won four of its past six games, but the mood reportedly was rather subdued in the locker room afterward.
“One note from last night in Baltimore: Ravens’ postgame locker room scene was more somber than you’d expect after a heated divisional win. People with the team could sense it. Pass defense owned the bad play. Wasn’t exactly a celebration. That can be a good thing long term,” Jeremy Fowler of ESPN wrote on X.

While the Bengals fell to 4-6, the Ravens improved to 7-3 and are on the doorstep of overtaking the Pittsburgh Steelers for first place in the AFC North.
Fittingly, they will visit those Steelers in Week 11 in a game that will have major implications for both teams as a possible playoff preview.
Baltimore came into this season with very high hopes after finishing with the NFL’s best record last year and adding running back Derrick Henry during the offseason, but it lost the first two games, which caused some anxiety.
Since then, however, they have been nearly flawless, and although Henry was held to 68 rushing yards by the Bengals, he still has a shot at reaching 2,000 rushing yards for the season, which would be the second time in his career he has done so (2,027 yards with the Tennessee Titans in 2020).
Jackson is having a tremendous season as well, and could be on his way to a second straight NFL MVP award and his third overall.
