The Houston Texans won’t have some of their best players on the field on Sunday night.
Will Anderson Jr. and Dameon Pierce are out, and Nico Collins is currently listed as questionable.
Fortunately, C.J. Stroud will likely have one of his best targets available.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, star WR Tank Dell is trending toward playing against the Detroit Lions.

Dell was a late addition to the injury report on Friday.
The Texans deemed him as questionable with a back injury.
Stroud and Bobby Slowik turned to Dell early and often after Stefon Diggs’ season-ending injury, especially with Collins also out.
He played well in the game vs. the New York Jets, hauling six receptions on nine targets for 126 yards, including a 50-yard sideline catch.
Dell is an explosive and perennial downfield threat who excels at creating separation.
He hasn’t posted the same numbers as in his rookie season, most likely due to the newly found competition for touches.
Even so, he’s shown the ability to put up big numbers when needed, and even if Collins comes back, Stroud will have to lean on Dell heavily for the second half of the season.
Some analysts have shown concerns about C.J. Stroud this season, as he seems to have regressed from his impressive rookie campaign.
Then again, the Texans continue to have one of the best records in the AFC, and with the most crucial stretch of the season ahead of them, we’ll get to see what they’re actually made of.
