The season has not started well for the New Orleans Pelicans.
Not only is their track record disappointing, but they are without a few of their biggest stars too.
Thankfully, they will be getting a reinforcement soon.
According to Chris Haynes, Trey Murphy III is attempting to make his season debut on Monday night against the Brooklyn Nets.
If that pans out, the Pelicans will get their valued swingman right when they need him most.

The Pelicans are currently 3-7 to start the season and have lost four games in a row.
On Friday night, they got dismantled by the Orlando Magic with an embarrassing 115-88 loss.
Before that, it was the Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers, and Atlanta Hawks who put the Pelicans down.
Last season, Murphy averaged 14.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists on 44.3 percent from the field.
Sadly, a hamstring injury has prevented him from playing this season but it sounds like he is just about ready to suit up.
The Pelicans’ season started with an unfortunate injury when Dejounte Murray went down in the very first game.
He is still out and will be for a few more weeks, which makes the return of Murphy even more important.
The Pelicans need wins and they need them as soon as possible or else the season will continue to fall apart.
Following their game against the Nets, they will play the Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and Cavaliers again.
They have a tough road ahead and need all the help they can get.
