The 2024 season has been a tough one for the New Orleans Saints.
Injuries, subpar results and a fired head coach have plagued what started off as a promising campaign for them.
They’re riding a seven-game losing streak, and now won’t have their best pass-catcher out there for a while.
“Saints WR Chris Olave, who was ruled out for Sunday and is seeking opinions of experts on his concussion, is expected to be placed on Injured Reserve, sources say,” NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport wrote on X.

Olave would be looking at a four-week absence, at the very least, by being placed on IR.
He had already been ruled out for Week 10, and with the Saints’ season looking all but over, it makes sense to be extremely cautious with the Ohio State product.
Olave suffered the concussion after a dangerous pass from Derek Carr in the Week 9 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
This was the second concussion Olave suffered this season, and given his history, he and the team need to err on the side of caution.
The big-play specialist has topped 1,000 receiving yards in his first two seasons in the NFL, but he has yet to play a full season because of injury issues.
He’s had four documented concussions in his young career, and this has to be quite worrisome for the former first-round pick.
The Saints are without Rashid Shaheed due to injury as well, leaving rookies Jermaine Jackson and Mason Tipton and veteran Marquez Valdes-Scantling as their primary pass-catchers for the foreseeable future.
