Nikola Jokic is playing another season of jaw-dropping and amazing basketball, but the Denver Nuggets aren’t doing as well as him.
Speaking on “Run It Back,” via ClutchPoints, Chandler Parsons had some harsh words for how the Nuggets play when they are without Jokic.
After praising the performances of Jokic this season, Parsons said:
“The overall feel of this team feels like they’ve lost a step.”
“The overall feel of this team feels like they’ve lost a step…when he goes out of the game, they stink.”

He said the Nuggets actually “stink” when Jokic isn’t playing, which is clearly a problem.
The Serbian star is once again putting up MVP-caliber numbers.
He is averaging 29.9 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 10.4 assists per game, which are phenomenal stats.
Yet, the Nuggets are the eighth team in the West with an 11-9 record.
They don’t look like championship contenders again, and their chances of winning another title could be slipping away.
If Jokic was able to play every single minute of all games, this wouldn’t be a problem.
However, that’s obviously not possible, and Jokic needs his minutes on the bench, and he also gets into foul trouble, like all big men.
The Nuggets cannot only rely on Jokic, but when he’s not playing, the team seems to fall apart.
Head coach Michael Malone will need to do whatever he must to make sure the rest of the team is able to win when Jokic isn’t playing.
The Nuggets are lucky to have Jokic because he is easily one of the best NBA players alive.
But they are leaning on him too much, and carrying this team is just too much for the three-time MVP.
