Andrew Luck’s NFL career didn’t pan out the way people expected.
The Indianapolis Colts’ inability to protect him led to countless hits and a physical burden he could not withstand anymore, forcing him to walk away from the game while still in his prime years.
Now, one of the most beloved and respected members of the football community is back on the scene.
Luck has returned to college to serve as Stanford’s new general manager.
When asked about that, Luck claimed that he has “a vision” and that the team will be utterly competitive in recruiting and retaining some of the best talents in college football (via The Pat McAfee Show).

Notably, Luck will have his work cut out for him to turn the ever-struggling program around.
Stanford has had losing seasons in five of the past six years, and it’ll take some time for them to get back on their feet, even in today’s transfer portal era.
Then again, Luck isn’t only a former great player with a strong pull as a recruiter, but he’s also a well-prepared person with a proven background to embrace this kind of position.
It will always be a shame that we didn’t see a unique talent like him fulfill his potential and destiny in the league.
That’s why it’s also so refreshing to see that he’ll still give back to the game, and while not on the field, he can still positively impact football.
