The 2024 NFL season has gone off the wayside for the Jacksonville Jaguars who are all but eliminated from playoff contention at this juncture.
The Jaguars sit at 2-7 through nine weeks of the regular season and show no signs of improvement, especially given their injury situation.
Jacksonville is dealing with a bevy of injuries to key players on the offensive end, so it’s hard to imagine them winning in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings are squarely in contention to win the NFC, so they’ll be looking to pick up another win against a lowly Jaguars squad just trying to finish out the regular season in one piece.
It’s been an unfortunate year for Jacksonville, but they’ve got to come out and compete to at least build some positive momentum.
Fortunately, they’re getting some form of help back as they announced they’re activating wide receiver Devin Duvernay and safety Andrew Wingard ahead of the matchup against Minnesota via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2.
“#Jaguars activate Devin Duvernay, Andrew Wingard from IR-designated for return,” Wilson reported.

Duvernay and Wingard have both played primarily on special teams this year and will return to their normal roles, though could find themselves playing snaps on the offensive and defensive ends, respectively, given the state of the roster.
However, Duvernay and Wingard likely won’t be the difference in a win for the Jaguars, so it’ll be up to the rest of the team to show up and at least make it difficult for the Vikings to come away with the victory.
