The New York Jets are looking to put another miserable season behind them and find a way to become a competitive ball club for the first time in many years.
Their first item of business is to hire a permanent head coach after they fired Robert Saleh in October, and they have already interviewed Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and University of Maryland head coach Mike Locksley.
Spagnuolo is a name that is sure to excite long-suffering Jets fans, as he has won three Super Bowl championships in his current role with Kansas City.
We have completed an interview with Steve Spagnuolo for our Head Coach position.

Spagnuolo, 65, has a long history in the NFL, dating back to when he began as the New York Giants’ defensive coordinator in the 2007 season.
That was the season the Giants shocked the world by upsetting Tom Brady’s New England Patriots, who had gone 16-0 in the regular season, in the Super Bowl.
He has been the Chiefs’ defensive coordinator since 2019, which was the season they won their first of their three world championships of the Patrick Mahomes era, and he has developed a reputation as a defensive mastermind.
The Jets have plenty of defensive talent, especially on their front seven, and in their secondary, they have Sauce Gardner, who quickly became one of the game’s best cornerbacks as a rookie in 2022.
The right head coach and coaching staff, not to mention the right quarterback, could transform them into a playoff team and ease the pain that Jets fans have been dealing with for decades.
